Why waves face the beach

Sea waves come in almost straight, whatever the wind. Tool: the front slows in the shallows and swings (brytning / refraction). Later on this river, after motion and energy. Written, so it stays Open.

Why a note is a wave

Where does the echo come from?

You shout at a cliff. A ship listens for sound bounced off rock under the sea. Tool: bounce (reflektion) — angle in equals angle out, measured from the upright.

Why this comes next: slowing and swinging is one trick of a wavefront. Bouncing is the same family, after the beach.

Fishermen already knew quiet lanes between islands. Two openings, a pattern of loud and still. Tool: interference (interferens) and a glimpse of bending around an edge (böjning / diffraction).

Why this comes later: one glimpse is enough after bounce. Dumping the whole two-source sheet is the next wall, not this page.

Same family — bounce, bend, two slits — now for light. After water and sound, not instead of them.

Why this comes later: you already saw a front turn and a bounce. Light is that story at a scale you cannot paddle.
